William Higley is a hardworking, detail-oriented carpenter with extensive experience across multiple disciplines in the theatre world and beyond. A New York City resident, William is currently pursuing work in scenic and event fabrication, bringing to life more than 25 different visions in the last two years alone. He's currently employed at Hudson Scenic Studio helping build shows for Broadway such as Dead Outlaw, Othello, Smash, and More!

Outside of NYC, he has served as the technical director for Ozark Actors Theatre building the Von Trapp manor for The Sound Of Music, mastering the engineering of the falling chandelier in a production of Clue: On Stage, bringing the imaginary world of Peter and The Star Catcher into reality, and designing the hardware for a full stage reveal of twenty mattresses in Once Upon A Mattress. He has also tech directed for the STL Actors Studio and St. Louis Shakespeare, and served as assistant master electrician for many productions at New Jewish Theatre, Moonstone, and Upstream. He has worked as a carpenter in middle and high school theaters, Circus Flora, Metro Theatre Company, and more.

William is no stranger to the stage himself, with almost 20 years of professional performing experience as a circus performer across the mid-west and mid-south. When he's not on stage or backstage, he's in his own workshop creating original works of art.
